{"id":119240,"date":"2021-11-15T11:08:48","date_gmt":"2021-11-15T09:08:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jean-monnet-saar.eu\/?p=119240"},"modified":"2021-11-19T15:37:25","modified_gmt":"2021-11-19T13:37:25","slug":"conference-on-supply-chains-responsibilities","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/jean-monnet-saar.eu\/?p=119240","title":{"rendered":"Conference on \u201cSupply Chains Responsibilities\u201d"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>On 12 November 2021, the Europa-Institut hosted a conference on \u201cSupply Chains Responsibilities\u201d in order to celebrate the <a href=\"https:\/\/europainstitut.de\/europa-institut\/70-jahre-europa-institut-25-jahre-ever-ev\">70<sup>th<\/sup> anniversary<\/a> of the Institute\u2019s establishment in 1951. In his general introduction to the conference, Professor Giegerich spoke about \u201cSupply Chains Responsibilities in the \u2018Democratic and Equitable International Order\u2019 \u2013 the Tasks for the European Union and Its Member States\u201d. He concluded that \u201csupply chains laws are not only legal and legitimate from the perspective of international law; they are even required by both international law and EU law. They are in fact long overdue.\u201d The papers presented at the conference will be published in a special issue of the Zeitschrift f\u00fcr Europarechtliche Studien (ZEuS) in due course.
