Sie tragen als Wissenschaftsblogs zur Open-Access-Transformation bei. Der <em>JuWissBlog<\/em> erm\u00f6glicht aktuelle wissenschaftliche Debatten \u00fcber die gesamte Bandbreite des \u00d6ffentlichen Rechts und f\u00f6rdert die Vernetzung innerhalb der Fachgemeinschaft. <em>Jean Monnet Saar<\/em> macht als Wissenschaftsblog das Europarecht, das europ\u00e4ische V\u00f6lkerrecht sowie die Entwicklungen der europ\u00e4ischen Integration einer breiten \u00d6ffentlichkeit zug\u00e4nglich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Thema<\/strong><br><strong>Schutz der Rechtsstaatlichkeit in der Europ\u00e4ischen Union \u2013 Mechanismen und nationale Verantwortung<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Rechtsstaatlichkeit ist ein fundamentales Prinzip der Europ\u00e4ischen Union und bildet die Grundlage f\u00fcr das Vertrauen zwischen den Mitgliedstaaten sowie in die Union insgesamt. Die Entwicklungen in Polen und \u2013 zuletzt \u2013 Ungarn haben die Frage nach der effektiven Durchsetzung rechtsstaatlicher Mindeststandards erneut auf die europ\u00e4ische und nationale Agenda gesetzt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wie wirksam sind die bestehenden Mechanismen zum Schutz der Rechtsstaatlichkeit? Welche Verantwortung tragen nationale Akteure wie Gerichte, Parlamente und Regierungen? Das Symposium beleuchtet diese Fragen aus europarechtlicher und deutscher Perspektive. Im Fokus stehen unter anderem die Effektivit\u00e4t bestehender Sanktionsmechanismen, die Rolle der EU-Institutionen sowie Deutschlands Verantwortung im europ\u00e4ischen Rechtsstaatsdialog. Es sollen aktuelle Fragestellungen aufgezeigt und L\u00f6sungsans\u00e4tze entwickelt werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die nachfolgende Liste enth\u00e4lt keine abschlie\u00dfenden Themenvorschl\u00e4ge. As academic blogs, they contribute to the Open Access transformation. <em>JuWissBlog <\/em>facilitates current scholarly debates across the full spectrum of Public Law and supports networking within the academic community. <em>Jean Monnet Saar<\/em> makes European Union law, European international law and developments in European integration accessible to the general public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Topic<\/strong><br><strong>Protecting the Rule of Law in the European Union \u2013 Mechanisms and National Responsibility<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The rule of law is a fundamental principle of the European Union and forms the foundation for trust between Member States as well as trust in the Union as a whole. Developments in Poland and \u2013 more recently \u2013 Hungary have once again raised the question of how to effectively enforce minimum rule-of-law standards in both European and national debates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>How effective are the current mechanisms for safeguarding the rule of law? What responsibility do national bodies such as courts, parliaments, and governments have? This symposium will explore these questions from both European and German legal perspectives. Particular focus will be given to the effectiveness of existing sanction mechanisms, the role of EU institutions, and Germany\u2019s responsibility in the European rule-of-law dialogue. The aim is to identify current challenges and develop potential solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following list of topics makes suggestions, but is by no means exhaustive.
