Due to the pandemic, the ESC was held online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The main focus of the ESC was the Corona-pandemic and its consequences on the European internal market and human rights. The chair of Prof. Giegerich is happy to contribute to the ESC. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Giegerich held a lecture on &#8222;Human Rights Protection in Times of Crises&#8220; in which he gave an overview about European human rights law in times of crisis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Afterwards, the participants were divided into smaller groups and discussed specific areas with one of the research assistants of the chair. The following topics have been discussed: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Vaccinations (Karoline Dolgowski)<\/li><li>Curfews and Quarantines (Katharina Koch)<\/li><li>Schoolclosures (Julia Jungfleisch)<\/li><li>Business and Human Rights (Dennis Traudt)<\/li><li>Vulnerable groups (Anna Kohte)<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>It has been a pleasure to contribute to the ESC this year!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For those interested in human rights protection in times of crisis, we have amazing news: We will host an Online-Symposium on that topic in September.
