Conference on “Supply Chains Responsibilities”

On 12 November 2021, the Europa-Institut hosted a conference on “Supply Chains Responsibilities” in order to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Institute’s establishment in 1951. In his general introduction to the conference, Professor Giegerich spoke about “Supply Chains Responsibilities in the ‘Democratic and Equitable International Order’ – the Tasks for the European Union and Its Member States”. He concluded that “supply chains laws are not only legal and legitimate from the perspective of international law; they are even required by both international law and EU law. They are in fact long overdue.” The papers presented at the conference will be published in a special issue of the Zeitschrift für Europarechtliche Studien (ZEuS) in due course. You can find a video recording of the Conference here.
