In this Paper, Prof. Dr. Giegerich discusses recent challenges to the Rule of Law in the European Union and how to counter them politically, judicially and financially. He presented the Paper at the Final Conference “Current Issues of European Integration and Western Balkans” by the SEEǀEU Cluster of Excellence in European and International Law on 17 December 2021.
