Giegerich: International Conference on „Open Justice“

On 2 February 2018, Professor Dr. Thomas Giegerich spoke at the international Conference on ”Open Justice” at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law. The Conference was attended by numerous high-ranking participants from academia as well as national and international judiciaries, including the Vice President and a further judge of the German Federal Constitutional Court, two Advocates-General of the Court of Justice of the European Union and the Vice President and a further judge of the European Court of Human Rights. Professor Giegerich presented a paper on ”Transparency in the Selection of Constitutional Court Judges: Contextualised Comparison between the U.S.A., Germany and the European Courts in Luxembourg and Strasbourg”.
